Josh Allen and the Bills are 6-2 heading into Week 9, and in firm command of the AFC East, where no other team has more than two wins for the season so far. They put on a second straight dominant performance with their 31-10 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 9. As one observer put it, the Bills “might have the division clinched before it’s time to slaughter the turkey.”
Despite throwing his first interception of the season, Allen still put on a strong performance in Week 8. He complete 24-of-34 passes for 283 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He added another 25 yards on the ground. But it was Keon Coleman who stole the show with his one-handed grab in the end zone to get the Bills on the board.
The Miami Dolphins were second in the AFC East at the top of Week 9, but their 2-5 record was not much better than the Jets or Patriots. They had one fewer loss by virtue of a canceled game against the Jaguars earlier in the season. Miami lost by a hair, 28-27, to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8, with a field goal spelling their doom as the clock expired.
